M.B. (Win) Moore III, M.D. is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon who has been practicing in Mountain Home since June, 2008. He is a third-generation surgeon who was born and raised in Columbia, Mississippi. He attended the University of Mississippi Medical School and went on to complete his orthopaedic surgery residency at Louisiana State University Medical Center. He shared a passion for bird hunting with his Dad, and every year they would travel to Pratt, Kansas for quail season. He liked the area so much he began a private orthopaedic practice there in 1994 after he completed his residency.
After five years in Pratt, he returned to Hattiesburg, Mississippi to be closer to his family. He was the Co-Director of Orthopaedic Trauma at Forrest General Hospital. He maintained a general orthopaedic practice in addition to his busy trauma call.
When an orthopaedic opportunity became available in Mountain Home in 2008, he and his wife, Dana and youngest daughter, Laykin, made the move. Dr. Moore and his father had visited the area several times over the years to fish the White River. Dr. Moore and Dana are proud to be part of a top-notch medical community and education system, and of course, appreciate the numerous outdoor activities the area has to offer.
They have five children: Win, Erin, Davis and Olivia, all of whom live in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and Laykin, who attends school here in Mountain Home. Dr. Moore enjoys spending time with his family and on his farm in Marion County.
Dr. Moore has a special interest in total joint replacement, trauma and the direct anterior approach for hip replacement, which allows the patient a quicker recovery with reduced postoperative pain.
In addition to his orthopaedic clinic, Dr. Moore is also proud to serve as an Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon with Baxter Regional Medical Center’s accredited Level III Trauma Center.
